Ladysmith has a long history of support for the arts - both in school and in the broader community. The following are a sampling of the opportunities available:
Ladysmith High School
Art Club
The Art Club is open to all students who have an interest in getting together in a social atmosphere and explore arts and crafts. The club meets after school as scheduled by the advisor. Sometimes there is an Open Studio, where students can choose their own Art projects. Pottery is often popular on these nights. Other activities that have been on the program in the past are pumpkin carving, paper making, wooden egg painting, and string art. Students take turns bringing snacks to share with the group. Dues are $5 per year. The group usually does at least one fund raising project during the year, to raise money for special activities. In May the club gives small scholarships to Seniors who are interested in an Art career. Since 1993 the club has given over $2,800 in scholarships. - Mrs. Bricco, Advisor

Musical Play
Each year the drama club does a play or musical. Students from all walks in life participate either as actors, stage hands, assistant directors, prop handlers, set carpenters, and other assistants. – Mr. Novakofski, Mr. Jensen & Mrs. Lawrence, Advisors.
