Opportunities in music to learn, to perform and to listen abound in the Rusk County area. The following are a sampling of the opportunities available:

Ladysmith High School

Band 
The Ladysmith High School Concert and Marching Band is highly esteemed throughout the state as being one of the finest concert bands in the region. They have received numerous regional and state awards and NATIONAL recognitions for their excellence in the field of concert music.  - Mr. Yudes, Director

Choir 
The Ladysmith High School Choir have also acquired quite a reputation as being one of the finest vocal music organizations in the region.  Their dedication and talent truly shows through in their performances, which often include multiple pieces written completely in a foreign language. - Mr. Jensen, Director

Handbell Ensemble
Part of the LHS Music Department is the multiple instrument and multi-talented Handbell Ensemble. This group of talented students perform throughout the area during the holidays and on special occasions. The music they make is extraordinary. - Mr. Jensen, Director

Troubadors 
The Troubadors sing a lively chorus, and they do a fine job. - Mr. Jensen, Director

Jazz Band
This group of dedicated student musicians have been wowing crowds for years. Their array of classic and new jazz is a delight to hear. Each February the Jazz Band puts on a Jazz Dinner Concert that is consistently sold out. Along with the dinner and music are silent auction items, raffles, and door prizes. - Mr. Yudes, Director
