International students at Ladysmith High School will follow a structured school schedule that affords ample time for coursework, study, co-curricular activities and recreation. Students live and dine together in the student dorm at Mount Senario Education Center, while the school district, faculty mentors and host families combine to provide transportation, guidance and a supportive environment so that each student can foster lasting relationships and a fulfilling high school experience while making the most of their time in Ladysmith.

Mount Senario Dorm

A former independent college campus, Mount Senario is now a regional education center for adult learning, and will soon be home to a series of week-long sports camps for children. The dorm at Mount Senario has been renovated to accommodate high school students during the school year and campers during the summer. The dorm is fully supervised with a live-in RA, and has separate wings for boys and girls with a maximum capacity of 160 students. Dorm rooms are designed for 1-2 students, with shared bath facilities on each floor of each wing.

While school is in session, the dining hall at Mount Senario provides evening and weekend meals, while breakfast and lunch are served at the high school. When not in session, all meals will be provided at the dorm.

Supporting and enhancing the student's experience at Ladysmith are host families from the community. Host families spend time with students outside of school, facilitating transportation, involvement in school and community activities, and are there to provide a supportive environment during weekends and holidays.
